Companion Enhancement
The Companion Enhancement is a power that comes with each companion. Most Companion Enhancements are applied via hits and are applied for 15s. There are a few viable and listed in the table. Some notes about the Enhancements:
If defensive Enhancements are not needed, debuffs on enemies are the way to go to boost group performance. Debuffs do not stack. If anyone has the same power (you can see them in the buff bar of the player) in the party, change to something else. Decreasing enemies' defensive stats next to Defense is recommended, because the debuffs are added to the sum even when the damage dealers have capped those opposing stats!
In Mod 27, Devs added a new Companion Enhancement type to companions: They give 5% Stats as long as the companion is not downed. (See Flapjack for eample). Slightly more reliable, but not any decent Tank Bonus got added. Not yet of any interest. Also, increasing important stats like Defense and Awareness should be capped in a different way as the 7.5% Stats 'on-tigger' Companion Enhancements are not 100% reliable. However for beginners with survivability problems and who did not cap their Defense and Awareness, this is the way to go!
Increasing offensive stats to ease aggro management is not recommended as there are better ways to deal with aggro management.
The healing Enhancement is too unreliable and the heals too weak to be useful. Only useful if no healer is available.
Damage Increasing Enhancements
In most groups I run with, it is the damage dealer's duty to cover these debuffs. If any of them is open and if you don't need survivability. take the missing strongest debuff!
Armor Break
Reduces enemies’ Defense by 7.5%. Number one choice to take to increase dps on enemies.
Dulled Senses
Vulnerability
Reduces enemies Critical Avoidance by 7.5%. Third choice to take to increase dps on enemies.
Slowed Reactions
Reduces enemies’ Deflect by 7.5%. Fourth choice to take to increase dps on enemies.
Defensive Enhancements
If all damage increasing debuffs are covered, defensive debuffs (especially Advantage Nullification) are the best choice.
Advantage Nullification
Reduces enemies Combat Advantage by 7.5%. Not fully reliable but close to it. Best choice from all defensive enhancements. Portobello DaVinci has this bonus.
Weapon Break
Reduces enemies Critical Severity by 7.5%. Good if mechanics on the group may crit.
Anticipation
Increases Critical Avoidance by 7.5%. Good for countering mechanics focusing on the tank where the boss may be immune to Advantage Nullification.
Blurred Vision
Reduces enemies Accuracy by 7.5%.
